[Music] Hey this is austin with roasty coffee And today we're going to be talking About the java press hand grinder so you May have actually seen our subscription Video the coffee subscription video for Java press but actually what they're Better known for is their hand grinder So we have one of them here it's going To come like this um you're just going To place this Top part here when you're ready to grind And it would look like that but let's Kind of take a look at what we have Going on here so Using a hand grinder can be really Helpful if you're traveling Or you know if you're in a space where Maybe an electric grinder gets a little Too loud and this would be an Alternative that's going to be a little Quieter um but i love it for traveling As well like easy to stick in your Backpack take with you whatever So pretty straightforward up here we Just have the part where we're going to Put our coffee beans and essentially the Hopper And then down below Um will be The canister that's going to catch our Ground coffee And this is actually where we're going To adjust the grind so the burs are

Right here in this portion of it So if you want to adjust the grind um You actually need to attach the top part And then you're just going to turn this Right Uh right turns to make it tighter Righty-tighty will also make you a finer Grind um and then to the left to make it Looser or coarser on your grind and so It has 15 settings on your grind size Pretty easy to use just you know you're Gonna find of course figure out what What works well for you um i would say Um because at first maybe it'll take a Couple of tries to get it dialed in to Where you want it Maybe try just putting a couple beans Through grind that up and then see if That's where you want it And then make adjustments based off of That But once you get it locked in to that Grind setting that you want really easy To use really repeatable Gives you consistent um grind size so Um let's go ahead and i'm gonna throw Some beans in here and we're gonna grind It up [Music] I mean it's pretty easy to do um you Know just a little bit of friction every Once in a while as you're rotating it But all in all you know it's really easy To move around um when you're done you

Would just you'll know cause You'll not hear grinding anymore and the Wheel becomes a lot easier to to move um So here's what the grind looks like Um when we're done with it here Just to be able to see it pretty well on Here um so this is a finer grind You know i would probably use this for An aeropress Some pour overs um but yeah as you can See here like it's really consistent There's no big boulders Um you know just really pretty even Across the board Which is the most important thing with a Grinder is making sure we have Consistent particle size um so yeah this Is the java press hand grinder Really easy to use really Straightforward Great for traveling Taking with you on the go So if you're interested want to find out More information about it just hit the Link below Thanks for watching
